Care workers are special...

From handling medicines to moving and assisting residents and performing clinical procedures, there is probably no other group of professionals who require such a wide-ranging set of skills to do their job effectively.

At PAS Training, we recognise the uniquely diverse training needs of the care sector, and we offer an all-round training program to meet those needs. Our qualified trainers can deliver tailored, in-house training when and where it is needed throughout the UK.

care quality commission and the Care Act

Under regulation 18 of the Care Act, care providers are required by law to deploy sufficient numbers of staff who are suitably trained and skilled to meet the needs of service users, to keep those users safe from harm, and to generally meet the regulatory requirements of the Act. More information can be found on the Care Quality Commission's website.

Our Mandatory Training Program

Our mandatory health and social care training program is designed to help CQC regulated care providers stay compliant with the Care Act, and it covers a broad range interlinking legislation relating to Health and Safety, Mental Health and Safeguarding.

Who should do this training?

Our mandatory training modules can be a core part of the staff training program for care homes and nursing homes, domiciliary services, children's services, clinics, GPs and doctor's surgeries, hospitals, hospices, and mental health services. They are suitable for all grades, including managers, doctors, senior support workers, nurses, care assistants, healthcare assistants, social workers and mental health workers.

One training program, two ways to train

Our trainers can deliver these courses in-house, or staff can train at one of our open courses, which we hold regularly in Taunton, Truro, Exeter, Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham.

Our open courses are also an ideal way for locums, agency staff and bank workers to access training themselves to increase their marketability.
